Cancelling SpicyChat: the button, the price lock, the point of no return

The steps

1. Open your profile and click Manage Subscription — the same place where you subscribed or upgraded.
2. Cancel there. The documentation does not describe any other route on the website.
3. Note the end date: a cancelled subscription that has not lapsed yet can be reactivated at your existing price.
4. If you bought through a mobile app store, the subscription belongs to that store and is cancelled in its subscription settings — not verified for SpicyChat specifically.

What cancelling costs you: the price lock

Euro pricing matches USD; GBP from 8 September is £4.95 / £16.95 / £25.95 monthly and £50 / £169.95 / £259.95 annually. Existing subscribers keep the price they pay today as long as the subscription stays active and unchanged.

Two things break the lock, according to the same FAQ: letting the subscription fully expire, and changing the plan — the price is tied to the specific plan you are on. A failed payment is retried “a few times”; if it still fails after two or three attempts the subscription lapses and the old price cannot be restored.

Cancel, pause or switch?

• Cancelled by mistake? Reactivate before the current period ends — the FAQ says the price survives as long as the subscription has not lapsed.
• Want to pay less? Changing the plan moves you to the new pricing, so a downgrade costs you the lock.
• Monthly to annual? Allowed and prorated: the remaining time is credited toward the annual plan.
• Paying by a method that does not renew? There is no recurring subscription, so there is no price to lock in.
